Helen Cho Eckert is an associate in the Antitrust & Trade Regulation practice group in the Los Angeles office of Sheppard Mullin.  Prior to joining Sheppard Mullin in 2008, Ms. Eckert was an attorney at Heller Ehrman, where her practice focused on state and federal antitrust litigation and complex commercial class actions.

While attending law school, Ms. Eckert was an extern to the Honorable Judge Erithe A. Smith, where she drafted memoranda with recommended rulings for complex bankruptcy motions and conducted legal research. In addition, Ms. Eckert served as a Judicial Officer of the UCLA Moot Court Board and co-chair of the First National Sexual Orientation Moot Court Competition. She also was a legal assistant for two law firms during the summer and fall of 2002.

Representative Engagements:

  • Represented Korea Kumho Petrochemical Company in antitrust action involving alleged monopolization in rubber chemicals industry.
  •  Represented Asiana Airlines in MDL class action civil litigations involving alleged price fixing in the air cargo and passenger businesses. 
  • Represented Philip Morris, U.S.A., in state class action lawsuit involving alleged price fixing in the cigarette industry.
