Mr. Pugh is a partner in the Finance and Bankruptcy Practice Group in the firm's Los Angeles office.

Areas of Practice

Mr. Pugh specializes in commercial finance, representing lenders and corporate borrowers in a variety of debt financing transactions, including syndicated senior credit facilities, mezzanine financing, acquisition financing, loan workouts and restructurings, debtor-in-possession financing, Chapter 11 exit financing, and letter of credit facilities.

A substantial part of Mr. Pugh's practice involves representing banks, finance companies and other institutional lenders in asset-based financial transactions. From 1993 through 1999, he was the General Counsel of Fremont Financial Corporation, a nationally recognized provider of asset-based financing to middle market companies. As a member of the UCC Committee, Business Law Section of the California State Bar from 1998-2000, Mr. Pugh was active in the recent revision of Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code.
