Elizabeth Rotenberg-Schwartz

Ms. Rotenberg-Schwartz is an associate in the Business Trial Practice Group in the firm's New York office. She has experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of general commercial and financial disputes including claims of fraud, securities and accounting fraud, breach of contract, and interference with contract. Ms. Rotenberg-Schwartz has also represented individual clients in dealings with the SEC and state regulators and on a pro bono basis, in extradition proceedings. In addition, she has exercised provisional remedies such as attachment on behalf of corporations that own or operate maritime assets and has significant state court experience.

In 2005, Ms. Rotenberg-Schwartz assisted in the representation of a satellite telecommunications company in a breach of contract action, securing a net verdict of $129.9 million from a Maryland federal jury on its behalf. In 2007, she assisted in the representation of a former international fund manager in the recent wave of SEC "market timing" prosecutions.
